Alert System

Privacy Policy

Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 17, 2026

1. Introduction

Alert System ("the Application") is a 24/7 site and metric monitoring tool. It periodically checks whether the sites and analytics data you configure are behaving as expected, and notifies you by Telegram and/or email when something looks wrong. This Privacy Policy explains what data the Application touches and how.

2. Data We Access

Depending on how an alert is configured, the Application accesses:

Public page content (visibility alerts)

For "visibility" alerts, the Application loads the configured URL in a headless browser (Playwright) - the same as any visitor would - to check the HTTP status code, load time, and optionally the presence of specific text or an element on the page. No login credentials or non-public pages are accessed.

Google BigQuery (metrics / sales / GA4 query alerts)

For metric-based alerts, the Application queries aggregate Google Analytics 4 export data stored in BigQuery (sessions, revenue, conversions and similar counts, never individual visitor records) via a Google service account, to compare a period against a threshold or previous period.

3. How We Use Data

Data retrieved is used exclusively to:

  • Evaluate whether a configured alert condition is met (e.g. a page returns an unexpected HTTP status, or a metric drops beyond a threshold)
  • Record a short run log (status, message, and the numeric result of the check) so you can review alert history
  • Compose the notification message sent to the configured Telegram chat and/or email address

4. Data Storage & Retention

  • Alert configuration: Alert definitions (URL, thresholds, schedule, notification channel) are stored in our database until you edit or delete them.
  • Run history: Each check writes a log entry (timestamp, status, short message, and the underlying metric values or page-load result). This history is kept so you can audit what happened and is not shared outside the Application.
  • No raw analytics export: Individual visitor-level data is never fetched or stored - only aggregate metric totals for the date ranges being compared.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, share, or transfer the data described above to any third party. Notifications are delivered only to the Telegram chat and/or email address you configured for a given alert or project.

6. Security

All communication with Google APIs and with the Application's own components uses HTTPS/TLS. Access to the Application's dashboard requires logging in with an authorized account. Google BigQuery access uses service-account-based authentication scoped to read-only analytics access - the Application never writes to or deletes analytics data.

7. Limited Use Disclosure

Alert System's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
